Taylor Swift: America's Sob Story, 52nd Grammy's 2010
After Mr. Kanye West, humiliated not only himself and Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift's fan base has grown, most who pity her. I believe that this new pity had an effect on her winning the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. She won the award shockingly over a list of A-List artist and veterans. She won over Beyonce, who also set a record for 6 Grammy's in one night for a female artists, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, and The Dave Matthews Band. If it were maybe last years Grammy's I would have been less shocked. Nothing against Ms. Swift, but compared to these artists it was like a one out of a million chance over these artists. Lady Gaga who appeared disappointed even though she won two Grammy awards but none for any of the big categories. Dave Matthews and Black Eyed Peas were very humble. But it seemed a great night was very very shocking. The only that was surprising and appalling was the performance of Drake with Eminem and Lil' Wayne. Lil' Wayne with his pants on the ground and his explicit language in which majority of his verse was bleeped out on air across America leaving people at home puzzled as to whether was something wrong with our televisions, but it was the unprofessionalism of the artists lack of interchanging the lyrics so it could be an enjoyable performance. I also expected more from Drake and Eminem. Drake being a newcomer didn't know any better, but Eminem is a veteran he should know by now. Sadly Eminem is Eminem. Their performance would have been slightly better with the appearance of Kanye West, who didn't not attend because of "Miss American Sob Story" also known as Taylor Swift. It would also been better without "Mr. Soon To Be Incarcerated" aka Lil' Wayne. Other than that the Grammy's were enjoyable. This was also known as the "Auto-Tune Grammy's" with the use of it by Jamie Foxx and the leader of the "Auto-Tune Movement", T-Pain. The leader of the Anti-Auto-Tune Movement was also in the audience as well.
